It has been a hot summer with temperatures averaging 34 degrees daily.  Not much has been going on photographically which is the reason for combining two months.  I have had family over from New York and London, spent time with friends, with local family and even managed a few nights out dancing.  I also did a mini shoot with school friends which happened on world photography day. I was hoping to do a little more with certain groups I have made in roads with, like the Cyprus Geek Team which has its event in November this year, but sadly they seem well covered and haven’t asked me to do anything beyond attend the festival.  So on with the show.

Had a lovely day out with Naci and Elias, we drove up the coast and stopped here and there, a drink at a beach with a zip line, a chat with a shepard by an old church, and finally home to feed the cats.

Another day out with the boys, this time to Omorfo, an orange growing distric on the west side of the island.  Love this portrait of the coffee shop girl who was just lovely, she is holding a delicious biscuit covered in warm chocolate.

On the same night, popped downstairs and did a few photos of the bar staff at Little Pub.  Lovely people I see every day especially this guy on the left, who I regularly have coffee with.

My nephew Enver, who lives in New York and works as a costume designer to The Wooster group, an experimental theatre company.  I haven't seen him for two years so it was real treat to see him.  Pictured with my mum and dad at the top, and his mum just above.

The three bars downstairs have pedestrianised the street in the evening, so street parties are a new thing.  It also keeps the cars away, which has helped keep the overall noise down, which is great.

At the Oris Beach Bar, with my first cousin and family that like rock music.  Niam is one of the best players in Cyprus (that's him playing guitar) and its a great friendly place.  This shot directly above is the very helpful bar maid, I love the portrait. Above that is a random Romanian family that wanted a picture.

A couple of shots in Magusa where we went for Elias's birthday, sadly his portrait was not great, but its ok, a few day later we met for food and made friends with a photo guy that does great landscape work.
