Portrait and Events Photographer.
I achieved my ARPS (Associate of The Royal Photographic Society) in professional documentary photography early 2010 and went full time with photography in 2011, specialising in events and portraiture.
Events include weddings, exhibition openings, museums private views, live performance, cabaret nights, corporate parties, music festival coverage, and everything in-between.
Portraits include work for fashion, performers, authors, bands, families and headshots for companies and actors.
I teach and mentor and have written several courses for beginners and advanced students, including degree students.
I ran an art blog for Photo Hastings for a few years too and did work with important local community art spaces, including The Towner Gallery and The De La Warr Pavilion on the south east coast. I have also been producing for five years a calendar for Cabaret Vs Cancer Charity.
In the past I have had some eclectic club residencies in London with avant-garde and cabaret nights, as well as been a staff photographer for Vive Le Rock Magazine. I've regularly exhibited my work too which I think important as a process for any photographer.
Now and then I work on film projects for music videos or community films, and even less rarely event coverage.
In 2018, disillusioned after the Brexit vote, I left London and came to live in Cyprus, wich is my ancestral home, although I was born in London and lived there all my life. I have continued to seek out people to photograph and love photography as much now as I have ever done. Cyprus has unique art opportunities and is very much different to the island I visited in the 80's. The numerous universities have brought diverse people from all over the world and with them a mixing pot of ideas. I look forward to seeing where Cyprus goes in the future and being a part of it.
