Cyprus June 2019

Well, where to start? I guess I should start with a certain Friday night. I don't get a lot of visitors to my flat in Cyprus. People mostly like to meet up elsewhere or pick me up to go off somewhere. A lot of my social time is during the day but my friends from my school have changed that. For them ideal times to hang out are after 9.30pm, when their toddlers are in bed (this is only for my two bosses). So I invited them to come to the bars downstairs and they popped to my flat for one drink, which turned into staying on the balcony till the early hours. A friend of theirs who teaches Yoga came along too, and this led to a Yoga mini shoot in the flat. Great fun. I really appreciate the company and it felt like the flat was properly broken in. Thanks guys.

Spent some good time with friends at a fish restaurant later in the month and my long time friend Attila came from London to have his wedding in Cyprus. There were two events, the Turkish wedding, and the English wedding. A friend of their's was booked to do the English wedding so I did video for them. The weekend before that I covered the Turkish wedding and there was a beach party too. This kept me busy for a couple of weeks, meeting for lunch and dinner with the family. Attila's dad was one of the first hotel owners in Cyprus since the 1974 split and is a well known name on the island. He has lots of charisma and an easy way with people in general. Thanks to him for a lovely wedding.

Caught up with Naci again for dinner with some long time English friends, but didn't bring the camera. Two days after that I went to England for my niece's engagement, but only stayed for a week. I got ill so missed my long time friend Louise's reception, which I was upset about but couldn't help. Looks like she had a great time and is currently on her honeymoon.

Gordon top right and his family, Gordon is also a long time friend, Attila's older brother. We used to hang out in my teens here in Cyprus, often talking books. In the middle is Adam, the youngest brother.
