So it been a change of pace in March, with more things going on and a real feeling of spring in the air. Fantastically Rustem Kitap Evi has a new curator and there was an open call and exhibition this month. More about that below.
The month starts off with two shoots. Koko is a law student in Cyprus and an aspiring model and musician. She is from Nigeria. The shoot wasn't for very long but I got a nice impression of Koko, genuine and respecful. Find her on Instagram @kokoinfashion @kokoinmusic

So the open mic night is now at Little Cuba Bar @open.spaces_ @littlecubabar and now the weather has improved more people are coming out.
Next up is a fun night in with friends @timeless__17 and @trop_alisa (copy into instagram). We had a nice dinner together and chat and then Alisa wanted to do something creative, so we played around for a few hours with long exposure. Alisa was the best light painter by the end and we got some crazy stuff. At one point we were all running around like lunatics, each resonsable for a light or a flash trigger, or the camera, or posing, or swinging an umbralla. Really special night.

Next up is So Home @sohouse.co arts venue at the Colour Of You art workshop lead by Shahrzad Zamani @shahrzad_zama It really is a home away from home, with an amazing garden, and an interesting venue, with all sorts of stuff around, including unique fashions, art pieces, paintings and odds and ends. Very lovely people run the place that care about art. Look out for more from them soon.
That night after the worshop took a few pics of Nilu, who is usually in Magusa, as the guys came back for coffee.
Lovely girl from Iran originally.
Beneath the Layers: Cyprus was a Photography exhibition organised by curator Sarvenaaz Ghafari with an open call.
📅 Exhibition Dates Were : March 24 – March 31
📍 Venue: Rüstem Bookshop Gallery, Nicosia
There was a great response and we had a beautiful night with many like minded people from all over the island. I was part of the panel and even had a student of mine enter, as well as other friends like Nilu and Mohamad. At the end of the week we all got together again and had a discussion, which was really special.

I had a really good time at the artist talk, people were very sweet to me. I wish I had stayed, but I rushed off to support another open mic night.
And finally a few from the second open mic night at Cuba. I sorta went before opening and left soon after.
Thanks for reading. Many more photos in the main ALBUM
