New short film on my favourite shoot of the year.

Tree Mistress is an imagined mythical figure based on folklore. To get to Faerie, normally we talk about mounds as the portal, but after discovering this tree, that is 700+ years old, it felt quite portal like to me. There is talk in folklore of going to the other realm, where time is different, and the Faerie Courts endure in eternity. One tale of Truthful Tom, has him disappear for 7 years to Faerie, and returned changed, only able to speak the truth. So I see Tree Mistress as a siren type figure, luring you to Faerie, for a minimum of 7 years. Beware. Copyright Sin Bozkurt. Read the associated blog post if you want to know more.Blog Post
