Cyprus October Part 1 Diverse It Arts Festival

It's been crazy this month, with a slow build before the storm, and most enjoyable.  The month started of with my new  friends from last months shoot, Sarah and San, who came over to hang out and eat, with a few relaxed photos.  Thanks for coming over guys, was really nice to have some company at the apartment.  San helped last time so we did a few more photos of her.

SO then We have The Diverse It Arts Pestival which ran for four days around the center of the capital Lefkosa.

It happened mainly between two places in the old town, Rustem Kitap Evi and Hoi Polloi, but a theatre was involved too and some site specific places, including exibitions in the street.  Their website has all the details The Diverse It Arts Festival

So before the festival there was a day of set up which I wnet along to.  It was nice to meet some people and see things shaping up.  Had a good talk with a photographer I liked called Angie, from the south side.  Her photo is last in this section. And met Silest, my fellow photographer, lined up to do more of the days, and me the nights.  She's the smiley one with a brush.

So Day one looked like....

The energy was good during the talk between artist at the begining and the whole of Rustem Kitap Evi had some sort of art, photos, paintings, instalations.  It was really chill, and met some good people, especially the artists upsttairs and in the side room,

Once that was done, it took us to our second venue, Hoi Polloi, for a very enjoyable open mic and jam session.  Rex hosted, Hasan and friends got things going, Alex and others sang, poetry was spoken and much fun was had.
