I first saw Jasmin (or actually Zhasmin) at Hoi Polloi working one day around six months ago. On the more recent anniverary night I got some photos of her and sent them to her friend Narin.  Anyway she is a tall girl, always smiling, always working hard and she has a very beautiful face, amazing eyes and a striking jawline.

I bumped into her again recently and snapped a couple of photos (check the monthly blog), which got us talking, and we made plans to do some photos.

On the day she was ontime, although I almost wasn't.  I literally almost got stuck in the old town at a T Junction, ended up reversing in the end, but got a lucky space. Anyway, Jasmin looked great we had a quick coffee, and then started one fantastic day of photos and good conversation.

So first up is a slow walk around Lefkosa, to the refurbished church/mosque, heading south east from Hoi Polloi.

After that we were going to go to a field of yellow flowers, we had talked about that, but weren't in that mood.  So we drove around and did an abandoned house in Gonyeli, then a couple of forest scenes in the montains, and when Jasmin heard about an abandoned tank on the mountain, she wanted to go.  So we did.  The first shots in this sequence are my favourite, standing in the middle of the mountain road.

After that we went home to download and do some photos on black.  Jasmin is actually from Tajikistan, and brought along an ethnic neclace we we shot on black.  It was very interesting hearing the story of her country and the unique experiences she has.  For a young person she is extremly mature.  In fact, she is just a great person all round, very real and down to earth, very polite and interested and she hardly touched her phone and by the end of the drive we were laughing and joking.

At home, after the shoot, we had some food, and then spent a couple of hours looking over the photos and agreeing on selections.

I dropped her home about 11 that night.  It was more like a day out with a good friend.  Thank you Zhasmin for everything.  You are amazing.
